In the 1930's and 1940's in Paris, Madame Grès made herself famous in the fashion world by haute couture dress in classical style. By the modernity beyond her time, meanwhile, Charlotte Perriand gained a firm foothold in the male-dominated design world. Her personal style presented a kind of bold and vanward advance and freedom.
